Once media competition was seen as a free business and often inspired public careers among groups who were with in the interest of media works across the nation, Alshabaab has come with unprecedented acts of violently paralyzing the media work by sustaining drastic measures against the press.

 

Journalists become the frequent targets as a result of their stories or comments after Alshabaab.

 

Somalia based south and Central Journalists Association groups (SOCJA) alerted these series aggressions could only pave the way another horrific image

 

The repressions group which controls much of the country is now imposing other restrictions and anti information orders to the independent media houses that based in near by Alshabaab strongholds followed by recent music and entertainment bans arrange by the Islamists. But Alshabaab forcibly is warning to the ordinary people not to listen two of strong radio stations which Alshabaab accused of spreading propagandas and its imposition.

 

Pro-government radio Mogadishu and also newly opened strong radio station namely Bar- Klan sat by the United Nations Somalia affiliate for African Union mission in Somalia (UNISO) in support of the AU mission in Somalia.

 

At least 14 journalists moved to Kenya for asylum seeking after receiving fresh threats from Alshabaab.
