Puntland Gives Directions Independent Media

The information ministry of the semiautonomous region of Puntland gave Friday directions to the independent media houses that operate in Puntland.
The information ministry issued a statement signed by the director of the information ministry Yasin Adan Roble and ordered all the independent radios, televisions and websites in Puntland to take orders from the information ministry.
The ministry of information said it will hold a meeting with independent media where every independent media house will display the programmes they air.
The ministry says the media houses can only broadcast the religious programmes of Puntland clerics.
The statement which comprises 13 articles also banns from Puntland media of broadcasting religious edicts against Puntland.
The ministry orders the independent media that they can not broadcast programmes form organizations and individuals which the information ministry has not censored.
The orders include that the independent media can not use commercials and advertisements that is against the culture of Puntlnd people.
The media houses can not broadcast news which is not based on the facts. The ministry also calls on the media houses in puntland to participate building the county.
The ministry also orders the media houses not to take part political meetings against the existence of Puntland.
The articles issued by ministry of information of Puntland also include that the news about Puntland government is always more important than the other news.
