This sort of uncontrolled award is offensive and Somali journalists will not welcome
Today is exceptional day of Somali journalists who are harshly oppressed. They live under constant threat of abduction, murder and prosecution in any time and at anywhere in the country because they have the sense of hearing about the blindness and ambitious action from the French government embassy in Nairobi, Kenya.
The Somali Journalist Rights Agency (SOJRA) would like to decline the existence of French Republic's liberty, equality, fraternity human rights prize awarded to NUSOJ as they circulated on Thursday 10 December because NUSOJ is not responsible to the Somali journalists.
Anyhow, Somali journalists consider NUSOJ that they are band of criminals posing as journalists and recently the Somali journalists signed a petition letters that they were going to let the international community to avoid supporting these bands of criminals posing as journalists in across the country and for those who are exile in neighboring countries.
“It is a dream from overseas and it will not be tangible prize to the Somali journalists as NUSOJ claimed because they are not legitimate” said SOJRA.
The French government must be well insider who knows the rightful voice of Somali journalists, SOJRA added.
Apart from that, SOJRA is aware what is going on in Kampala, Uganda and a reliable resources are sending SOJRA massages signifying possible threats and abuse against the exiled Somali journalists in Kampala, Uganda organized by NUSOJ team and it's partners in Kampala, Uganda particularly Omar Faruk Osman along with STEPHEN OUMA BWIRE, who is the General Secretary of Uganda Journalists Union as well as the adviser of Eastern Africa Journalists Association.
However, the Somali Journalist Rights Agency (SOJRA) warns this bunches of criminals to keep away from the hunting and terrorizing of our colleagues in Kampala, Uganda otherwise they will face court as soon.
In addition to that, SOJRA calls for Somalia government to take steps against this bunch of criminals as soon as possible. |
